Scot is responsible for positioning Lilly with the appropriate technical platforms and services to respond proactively to the evolving technology needs of the business and industry, as well as leading the technology direction for the enterprise and driving innovation into the operations, architecture, and services of Lilly Information and Digital Solutions.

Scot came to Lilly in October 2019 with over twenty-five years of experience, the last fifteen of which have been serving in executive-level technology roles with Cardinal Health. Most recently, Scot served as Senior Vice President, IT Shared Services and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this role, Scot led a global team of 750+ employees, and was responsible for the strategy and global operations of the IT Shared Services organization, including all IT infrastructure, application development and support for corporate functions, and the SAP Center of Excellence. In this capacity, Scot led several technology transformation projects, including most recently, an enterprise-wide cloud transformation program. As CISO, Scot was also responsible for ensuring that Cardinal Health’s digital assets and critical IT capabilities were safeguarded from cyber security threats, compliant with regulatory requirements, and that IT-related risks were effectively managed to execute business plans and operations. Scot was also actively involved in leading diversity and inclusion efforts at Cardinal Health, including serving as the chair of Cardinal Health Veterans and Military Advocates employee resource group, which focusses on helping veterans find employment, grow their careers, and give back to veteran-oriented charities.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Scot has served in technology leadership roles at large corporations across a variety of industries and served as a Field Artillery Captain in the US Army. Scot graduated from Purdue University with a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering.
