Dr. Betadam was appointed Novanta’s Chief Information Officer in January 2021 and is responsible for strategic direction, leadership, and implementation of enterprise-wide Digital Transformation and Information Technology (“IT”). She joined Novanta [Nasdaq: NOVT] in 2019 as Vice President of Business Applications and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Global IT in March 2020. Dr. Betadam brings 20 years of experience in global transformation initiatives, strategic business planning, mergers and acquisition, and change management. Prior to Novanta, Dr. Betadam held the position of Director and Head of IT, Portfolio and Program Management at Splunk, Inc. [Nasdaq: SPLK]. She also held IT management positions within a variety of industries and multi-billion dollar organizations.

Dr. Betadam holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Applied Arts from San Diego State University, a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (specialization in Information Assurance) from Santa Clara University, and holds a Doctor of Engineering, Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from George Washington University.
