Patrick Hogan is the chief commercial officer for Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT), supporting the organization’s efforts to make buildings safer and healthier for more productive occupants. Patrick is responsible for the integrated strategy, pricing, customer marketing and demand generation, and commercial sales operations for the global business group. He also oversees HBT’s operations in the high growth regions of Latin America, Central Eastern Europe and Russia.

Patrick created Honeywell’s Commercial Excellence initiative in 2016, developing the functional strategy, playbooks, tools and metrics that are deployed across all global sales teams. He acted as Honeywell’s interim chief commercial officer in 2018-2019 and led the drive for digital transformation across all the customer engagement touchpoints.

He was previously vice president of Strategy and Commercial Excellence for Honeywell’s Performance Materials and Technologies business group where he was responsible for the global strategy around pricing, value propositions and entering new adjacency investment areas coupled with improving seller productivity and the overall customer experience.

Patrick joined Honeywell in 2003 via an acquisition and was marketing leader for Honeywell’s rapid entry and expansion into becoming the world’s biggest expert in gas monitoring safety solutions. During his well-established career with the company, he has held numerous leadership roles focused on growing technology-centric portfolios in verticals including life sciences, energy, information technology and manufacturing. He has built and led global sales and marketing teams to compete via a diversity of business models with end-to-end experiences across the concept-to-cash process to commercialize products, software, licensing and consulting services.

Prior to Honeywell, he held vice president and general manager roles with Cedar Consulting, creating a novel knowledge visualization/management (SaaS) practice, and at BG Group (now part of Royal Dutch Shell), commercializing services and technologies to the global oil and gas marketplace.

Patrick holds a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s of science in chemistry from the University of Bristol. He has completed The Wharton School’s program for strategy and management for competitive advantage.
