May Yap is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President at Jabil. Splitting her time between USA and Asia, she oversees global IT operations across more than 100 sites worldwide.

Tapping into a wealth of leadership experience in IT and business management, operations, governance, and talent strategies, May spearheads Jabil’s key transformation programs to lead the organization to new heights in digitalization and factory excellence. Leveraging technology, smart systems, and analytics, she leads initiatives from designing an enterprise-wide cloud, and mobile-enabled ecosystem; building a data marketplace; providing strategic direction on IT policies and cyber-security; and mainstreaming automation, human-to-machine collaboration.

Passionate about establishing efficiencies between Information, Engineering, and Operation technologies to create an agile, innovative, and resilient organization, May’s also oversees the delivery of daily operational stability across Jabil’s digital platforms.

She was promoted to the role of global CIO in 2020, having first joined in 2014 as the CIO of Jabil Green Point, a Jabil business segment. Her senior leadership experience includes roles in multinationals such as IBM and PwC Consulting, focusing on IT management, strategy and implementation, business and process transformation, and has worked in the USA, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Japan.

An award-winning CIO, May’s been recognized as IDC’s Asia Pacific, and Singapore CIO of the Year (2021), and is an honoree on Forbes’ inaugural CIO Next list. Singapore’s American Chamber of Commerce has presented May with the HERo Awards 2021 for her efforts in advancing women leaders at Jabil.
