Julie Moog joined TIAA in 2013 and is currently head of the Business Information Security Office and Chief of Staff for the Cybersecurity organization. The Business Information Security Office is responsible for Cybersecurity’s overall strategy, along with program management, business metrics, reporting, financial analysis and cybersecurity awareness. The team also acts as a conduit between Cybersecurity and other business areas to ensure the business perspective is considered
for security initiatives.

Previously, Moog led the IT Risk Management team at TIAA. In that role, she was responsible for IT policies and standards, IT risk frameworks and IT risk assessment services, including assessments across applications, infrastructure and suppliers. She also led Cybersecurity’s regulatory and audit function, where she was responsible for all regulatory and audit engagement. She previously established and led the Business Information Security Office (BISO) for TIAA and held the title of Information Security Officer for TIAA-FSB.

Moog has over 15 years of experience in IT risk and information security within the financial services industry. Before TIAA, she was an information risk manager at JPMorgan Chase, supporting emerging markets for the Americas and EMEA and the risk technology business within the investment bank. She began her career at Ernst & Young in the IT Risk & Assurance group. Since then, she has worked in a variety of IT risk and security roles, including risk consulting, regulatory compliance, IT audit and IT risk and vendor management.

Outside of work, Moog enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and summers at the Jersey shore.
