Jim “Coop” Cooper is a Chief Technologist for HP Managed Services, a Technology Evangelist and Futurist. He is recognized as an innovator of new technologies, processes and business models that will improve the User Experience while simplifying IT.

With more than 20 years of experience, focused on end user computing, Coop has a strong track record in advancing technology. As an innovator, he has researched new service designs and has been awarded multiple patents. Coop is a recognized advisor and influencer to many technology partners on new styles of digital services. He currently holds seats on the Microsoft Modern Workplace Partner Advisor Council and the Microsoft Distinguished Engineer Board.

In addition to being passionate about customers, Coop also takes opportunities to speak at Universities and meet the next generation of IT leaders. He seeks young technologists to mentor, encouraging them to explore “art of the possible” and how to create value-based outcomes needed for tomorrow.

Coop relishes opportunities to work with customers on how to anticipate disruptions in technology, economics, and government policies that will impact employee experiences and show value creation.

Prior to joining HP Inc, Coop held senior leadership roles at DXC technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. His studies include completing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Louisville, and a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.

Home is Bloomington, Indiana where he lives with his wife and enjoys hiking, movies, cooking and volunteer work.
