Jeff G. Thomas is Chief Security Officer at Prudential Financial, responsible for developing and leading global strategy to address all aspects of non-systems related security risk, to include incident management and response, and the Company’s corporate aviation program.

Prior to joining Prudential in 2016, Jeff was Head of Global Security for Tyco International, responsible for leading the enterprise security function. Prior to Tyco, he served as Global Security Leader for General Electric’s (GE) Energy and Oil & Gas divisions. Before entering the private sector, Jeff spent 13 years in government service, completing his tenure as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service’s Presidential Protective Division.

Jeff is an active member of the U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council, American Society of Industrial Security, and Global Security Executive Roundtable. In addition, Jeff is a Steering Committee Member of the International Security Foundation and Board of Trustees Member of the Newark Downtown District.

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in security management from the University of Houston, Downtown.
