Eric Simmons is an Information Security Manager and Application Security Lead at Aaron’s, Inc, a Fortune 1000 retailer.   His core responsibilities are providing servant-leadership to security engineers that support the various squads within the Information Security group and driving the reduction of risk in all applications developed at Aaron’s.  He has 20+ years of software engineering experience in the telecommunications, fuel supply chain, and retail industries. He is also a co-patentee on three patents for solutions that involve automating the aircraft fueling process.  Along with his software development interest, he has a passion to empower individuals and business leaders to make risk-based decisions through awareness and fostering trust.   Eric resides in the Atlanta metro area with his wife and two children.
