As senior vice president and chief information officer at The New School in New York City, Dr. Lin Zhou leads the transformation of information technology. Dr. Zhou founded the university’s Quantum initiative, igniting innovative curriculum and faculty research, created the first-ever Quantum Design Jam and Quantum exhibition, and developed the university’s Innovation Center.
High-profile awards have recognized his achievements, including the IDG/CIO FutureEdge50 Award, the Gold Prize Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Award, and a CIO100 Award. Before joining The New School, Dr. Zhou served as the program director and innovation leader for IBM Watson Education.
He played a key role in leading Watson Education from its start-up phase to becoming a global leader in advanced artificial intelligence (AI) for Education. Dr. Lin Zhou’s speaking engagements on national and international stages includes SXSW, Educause, GiTex, EdTechX, and AIAED.
