DJ has spent the past 5 years at Aflac building highly specialized teams and helping them recognize their potential while executing our strategy to advance the Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Management, Vulnerability Management, Security Administration, Application Security and Red Team programs, with a focus on global security practices covering the US and APAC.

More recently at Aflac DJ had the exciting new opportunity to also help lead their Security Engineering efforts, driving new lifecycle management practices and focusing on enhanced capability delivery.

Fifteen years of experience in Information Security with specialization in the Insurance and Financial Services vertical markets and managed security services. Career began in operations as a security engineer identifying and responding to security incidents and providing support for critical security infrastructure of over 1,000 US financial institutions. Advanced to Security Operations Manager leading team of 18 engineers in Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, Incident Response, security research and client support for 5 years and then 3 years in a Director role over Research and Development.

Presently directing 7 teams consisting of 40+ security professionals and a $10M operating budget at Aflac.
