As the Corporate Director of the Health & Technology Innovation Center at ChristianaCare, Catherine is responsible for creating an environment that accelerates idea generation and innovation. She drives the innovation strategy by executing on those ideas as well as championing new and emerging technologies that have the potential to disrupt health care as we know it today.
Catherine directs the day to day operations of the Innovation Center and its dedicated team of award winning designers, developers, and analysts.
To date, the Innovation Center has developed more than 35 custom applications. Each app started as a project initiated because of a unique opportunity – an idea from a member of the ChristianaCare team to introduce improvements and efficiencies in a way not offered commercially with great potential to connect and empower people with a goal to advance their health and well-being.
With over 20 years in the technology industry, Catherine has earned several professional distinctions and honors from IT professional associations and journals, such as Information Week Magazine’s “Twenty Great Ideas to Steal” and Computerworld’s Honors Program “Top Five” recognition. Most recently, the work of the Innovation Center, in partnership with our Intensive Care team, was awarded the 2020 FutureEdge 50 award which honors the most cutting-edge applications of emerging technologies, and the innovative cultures enabling them.
Catherine received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, and a master’s degree from Wilmington University. She also holds several certifications in usability and user experience.
