Angela Burnette, MBA, CISSP, joined Aflac in April 2018, bringing nearly 20 years of security and legal experience spanning the financial, energy, and legal industries.  She is currently responsible for overseeing daily activities and leading the testing associated with Aflac’s global Cybersecurity Assurance Program.  She is responsible for managing the global relationship between Aflac and applicable subsidiaries to ensure consistency.  She has been instrumental in helping to build the cybersecurity control library and testing program.

Prior to joining Aflac, she served as Senior Information Security Consultant for SunTrust Bank where she developed and maintained information security standards and oversaw information security testing of applications and infrastructure against the standards and regulatory requirements. She also led information security incident investigations and reporting to the Federal Reserve.  Angela earned an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.\
