Dr. Vince Kellen, is the Chief Information Office for University of California, San Diego. He is responsible for the enterprise data and information services for UC San Diego. He will direct the teams within the UC San Diego IT Services unit providing data integration and data preparation services. He has 35 years of experience in designing, developing and directing the operations of data analytic systems in multiple industries and within higher education. He has been a PI and co-PI on projects for NSF directorates in the areas of cyberinfrastructure, advanced computing and cloud computing for research.

He is a board member for IMS Global, a non-profit education industry standards and collaboration organization body that enables academic and educational technology interoperability. He is a Senior Fellow with Cutter Consortium, an IT industry strategy and analysis firm where we writes on strategy and IT topics. Dr. Kellen is in the IDG/CIO Executive Council CIO Hall of Fame (2019 inductee), a three-time winner of the CIO 100 award, a recipient of InformationWeek’s “Chiefs of the Year” in 2013, recipient of Computerworld “Honors Laureate” award in 2013, and was one of four recipients selected globally for Dell’s 2012 “Transformational CIO” award.
