Chief Architect for Threat Content

Gary Katz has over ten years of experience as a cyber security architect. He is currently the IBM’s CTO of Security Content and the Chief Architect for IBM’s XDR Connect platform. In these roles he works with analysts to continuously improve internal processes in creating new threat intelligence, detection, correlation, and response content. He has also worked extensively on designing and implementing IBM’s new XDR offerings. Prior to joining IBM, Gary was a Principal Engineering Architect for FireEye. He was one of Lockheed Martin’s four chief engineers for cyber solutions and the Contractor Chief Architect for the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) where he led the collaboration with its threat intelligence and forensics teams to develop new analytical tools and systems.
