Avinash Shetty has been with Nutanix since 2013 and started out as one of the early Product Managers driving product direction, specifically the NX portfolio roadmap, pricing and licensing, serviceability and the pivot to software selling. He then moved over to a sales role helping field sales understand the new software sales motion before eventually focusing on large enterprise deals and ELAs. From there he worked in a cross-functional role focused on corporate strategy. Moving back to his roots, he currently leads the PM role, focused on the broader Nutanix portfolio strategy, cross product roadmap as well as dissecting the broader competitive landscape.

Prior to Nutanix, Avinash spend 5 years at Riverbed working in various roles, most notably Product Manager for Steelhead and early days of SteelFusion. He also spend 8 years in Cisco with a background in security working on the PIX/ASA product line. Avinash has a MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a BS in Computer Science from PICT, Pune, India. In his spare time, Avinash likes to tinker with various technologies, build stuff, play sports and spend time with his two kids.
